The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works has announced that the deadline for the submission of applications for Phase A of the Grant Scheme for the installation of 1000 recharging points for electric vehicles "Electromobility with 1000", is extended by (3) months, until April 30, 2023.
The form of aid to be granted is exclusively de minimis under Regulation 3(2) of the State Aid Control (De minimis) Regulations of 2009 and 2012.
The potential beneficiaries are natural and legal persons (Companies, Associations, Foundations), Non-Governmental Organizations, legal entities of public law, Local Government Authorities that are owners or tenants of a "parking space for public use" and operate in areas under the control of the Republic of Cyprus. The eligible installation points are, among others, parking areas for public use, municipal and community parking lots, private parking spaces for the public, petrol station areas, recharging station areas, etc.
Each beneficiary may receive a grant for four recharging stations, per district, with a maximum number of fifteen throughout Cyprus, with the exception of local authorities which may receive sponsorship to locate up to eight stations within their territory.
The Plan provides for funding at a rate of 50% of the total cost, with a maximum amount of funding depending on the maximum power output of the charger. Charging points that will be installed in mountainous areas will receive an increased sponsorship rate of up to 55%, with the funding ceilings remaining unchanged.
